CC Challenge #16

I took a few weeks off from it, but I am ready to start doing the weekly challenges at CropChocolate.com again!

This week's challenge is to Get Inky!

I used a white piece of cardstock and Ranger Alcohol Ink (in citrus) to create the green background for the fairy image.

The other papers are all My Mind's Eye "Quite Contrary."

I also used the weekly sketch at CPS.

Some Super Exciting News!

And now that I have caught up with my NSD projects, it's time to share some super exciting news!

I have made it on my very first Design Team!!!!!

I am now a member of the CropChocolate.com Design Team for the July - December term! I am so happy and excited and a little bit nervous about this!

I thought I would also share the projects I submitted.

The first is a clipboard I made for my daughter's Brownie leader as a thank you. I used  Echo Park 'Walk in the Park' papers and the images were cut on my Cricut using the Create a Critter cartridge (for the mushroom) and the Campin' Critters cartridge.

One of the projects we submitted was supposed to be an 'out of the box' for us project. So I did my very first mini. Still do not like making these! But I am very happy with the results!

Sorry, that's a lot of pics! This album was made with the beautiful Crate Paper 'Portrait Collection' papers and the matching accessory and sticker sheets.

I also used American Crafts pearl brads; Making Memories 'Paper Reverie' gems and brads; Making Memories 'Flutter' locket. Plus some ribbon, lace and buttons from my stash.

Bad Blogger

Well I was supposed to come back and post the second day of NSD projects but it just didn't happen! I think I burned myself out! So I am back to share a few of them and maybe a couple of new projects too!

First up are a couple of cards that I entered into the challenges over at CropChocolate.com

This first card was for an accordion fold challenge. I made it for my mom to give to their neighbour's little guy. I found the idea for it on Pinterest :)

Shhhhh, this card is for my middle child who is turning 7 (?!) on Wednesday. I also found the idea for it on Pinterest. Such a great source when you are feeling a little dried up!

This next project is the last one I did for the Crop Chocolate challenges. The challenge was to make a mini album for a trip. I made of of the camping trip we did last September in Tofino. I'm not really a fan of making mini albums, but this one was pretty fun.

NSD - Part 4

This should be the final post for today, unless I manage to get the last challenge of the day done and photographed later!

Challenges:
CropChocolate.com - Challenge #4 - Something Blue
Echo Park Paper - Challenge #6 - Project Playground - I used the Style Essential Readymade Layout as my inspiration. You can find it here!

My Layout:

Thank you so much for joining me on National Scrapbooking Day! I will be back tomorrow with more!

Products:

Echo Park - "Winter Park" Collection
Karen Foster - Snowflake brads

NSD - Part 3

This layout (which I love!) is for CropChocolate.com's Challenge #3 - Something Borrowed. For this challenge we had to "borrow" a design from a fellow scrapper on CropChocolate.com. I was really struggling with this one, then I decided to scroll the "Share you Sweets" tab. I came across a layout posted by LBAB, that I just loved when I first saw it!

My layout:

Love the white space with the doodling and journaling!

Products:

American Crafts - white cardstock
MyMindsEye - "Fly a Kite" collection
American Crafts - Thickers - "Jewelry Box"

NSD - Part 2

Back again with my next layout.

Challenges:

  • CropChocolate.com - Challenge #2 - Something New
  • Echo Park Paper - Challenge #4 - Sketch Challenge

This is the sketch from Echo Park that I used:

Happy National Scrapbookin Day! - Part 1

Yay! National Scrapbooking Day is here! Mine started off great! I snuck out of the house bright and early to make a stop for a few supplies I would need today (ie. peanut m&m's) and then zoomed on up to the next town to go to the festivities at the LSS. Free make & takes (made my first paper bag album!); free page kit with purchase, and entered to win a $300 prize basket! Fingers crossed on that one!!!

Then I zoomed back home. Kicked hubby and the girls out, and put little man down for a nap so I could join in all the online fun!

Four layouts done and now I need to post! I'll be doing four separate posts for them :)

My main focus is the weekend of challenges that are happening at CropChocolate.com. They are celebrating their merge with Oh My Crafts with a series of challenges. I've completed the first four and am waiting for the last one for today. I've managed to include a couple of other challenges in with these.

Up first:

Products:
Sassafras Lass "Bungle Jungle" papers & journaling sticker
Echo Park "Little Boy" & "Playground" alpha stickers

First up the PageMaps sketch.

And my LO. I stuck pretty close to the sketch for this one.

Luckily for me Celeste came home just in time to correct my french grammar!

And this is the sketch from Scrapbookin' Adventures and layout that it accompanies.
